I just totally felt like drawing something like this. It's a monochrome (what the fuck is it with me doing monochrome lately?) picture of Nari's eyes in a semi realistic fashion. Yes...she does have cat-like pupils, and in bright light they do contract to slits. All of the elves do.
Due to an accident in combat training when she was a child, in which Nari was too slow and clumsy to duck out of the way of a swinging sword, Nartina has a permanent scar and is blind in her right eye. Blind as in clouded cataracts, and everything is black if she cups her hand over her left eye, blind.
Her eyes are naturally a vibrant blue. I'm sure if you've been watching me draw/color Nari for a while you'll know this.
Normally she covers her right eye with her bangs, however, there are some circumstances when she will show them both off. Despite her strong dislike of the scar, she still takes pride in her ability to kick ass on just about any battle field-especially since she has a handicap.
Shavori has the same eyes and scar...so for all you know, this could be Shavori?
Or maybe it's both?
Or maybe it's one or the other?
Who knows?

EDIT: Before people get all critical and logical and whateverthefuck...let me explain a few things to you, neh?
If you have learned anything at all about this character, it's that A.} She is an elf, and B.} she is a shapeshifter. Allow me to bring another thing about Nartina to the forefront for all of you:
NARTINA TAKES ON ANY FORM SHE FEELS COMFORTABLE TAKING ON! Be it a snake, a rabbit, a dragon, a fox, a wolf, or a rat, she shifts. The bones in her body break apart and place themselves in new positions. They lose density/mass and gain it on a whim. It's a painful process, but it's something she does in order to not only survive, but because she has the misguided need/urge to take on these forms. It's basically like she is "called" to do them. If she goes too long without shifting, she grows weak, and it could kill her.
She takes on the powers, diet, and instincts of every form she takes. It is because of this-and the fact that most of the forms she takes are carnivorous-that causes her people to fear her.
One of the forms she takes is a white dragon with the ability to heal. The wound on her eye happened when she was a mere 50 years old-nothing but a child...basically the equivalent of a 12 year old by human reckoning. Though she had control of that form at the time, she did not have control of the power that form held. The weapon that did the damage was old, and dirty. In that time period, there was nothing that could be done to save her eye, and with the little control over what power she held in the white dragon form, it's a miracle she still has her eye at all, blind or not. She was only able to restore the general form of the eye and partial vision, but unable to restore the skin around the eye back to the flawless flesh it once was. That much power can be tiring for a little kid to use. Nor was she able to stave off the infection and keep it from spreading to the optic nerve, or the cataracts...thus she ended up blinded and scarred.
